Privacy Notice for Veterinary Professionals
Our company MSD Animal Health and its Affiliates herein after “Company”, is informing you how we collect, use, and share information relating to your professional activities (called your “personal information” or your “information” in this letter) to effectively engage with you.
This notice is used to be transparent about our data processing activities and provides
you with important information to communicate your preferences to us and provides an overview of the practices of Company and its affiliates with respect to the collection, use and disclosure of data for veterinary professional-related purposes about whom the Company and its affiliates have Personal Information as a result of the relationships those individuals have or had with the Company.
Consistent with our tradition of upholding high ethical standards across our business practices, we have demonstrated our commitment to privacy by establishing a global privacy program to support compliance with applicable privacy laws and standards for protecting personal information around the world.
Types of personal information we collect:
The personal data that we collect, verify and process is professional information about veterinary professionals. “Personal Data” is data that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual.
We will collect Personal Data when we meet with you, when you participate in our programs, activities, industry events, trade shows, or in connection with your inquiries and communications with us. We also license Personal Data from data companies providing information services in the healthcare sector, publicly accessible sources of professional information, and joint marketing partners.
In addition, we collect Personal Data each time you are given or benefit from a direct or indirect transfer of value from us (whether in cash, in kind or otherwise, made, whether for promotional purposes or otherwise, in connection with the development and sale of prescription-only medicinal products), which is disclosed to, and published by, those regulatory bodies according to jurisdictional requirements.

We use your information to identify your professional specialties and areas of interest, for
the purposes of inviting you to attend conferences, participate in other programs and deliver educational materials about our product and services; this includes promotional activities that may be of interest to you. Additionally, we use this information to comply with all legal and regulatory obligations. You will only receive marketing emails where we
have your consent for direct marketing. We may use profiling to help us determine the
types of communication relevant to you and measure your engagement with our materials.

Sharing your information:
Company may share your information among Company affiliates outside of the EU, EEA or UK and will do so in accordance with our Global Privacy Statement and our Binding Corporate Rules (“BCRs”), which have been approved in the European Union.

Your personal information may also be shared with other organizations who work on our behalf but solely at the direction of Company. Organizations that receive information from Company will be contractually bound to only use this information in accordance with Company’s instructions and in a manner that is consistent with all relevant data protection laws. In addition, we may also disclose information to Governmental Agencies & Regulatory bodies as required by law.
We implement reasonable and appropriate data protection and security measures to protect personal information in accordance with its sensitivity from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

The Company does not sell your personal data.
Retention:
Where we have had an interaction with you this will be retained for 3 years after our last
interaction. Information may be retained for longer if we have a legal or regulatory obligation or where we have a legitimate interest to do so.
Your rights:
Subject to restriction in applicable law, you have certain rights with respect to your
personal information, such as, a right of access, correction, restriction of use, and deletion.
If you object to Company processing your data, we will cease collecting and using your
personal information: doing so will limit our ability to interact with you. Company may still be required to process certain personal information about you in order to meet our legal or regulatory obligations.
