Dr. Fernando de Almeida Borges is Associate Professor of Parasitic Diseases at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (Brazil). He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) in 2007, and in 2015 he completed his postdoctoral work at the Free University of Berlin. Dr. Borges’s primary research focuses on development of new antiparasitic drugs, antiparasitic resistance, epidemiology and strategic planning for parasite control on livestock farms.
